R.Thompson & Son (Armagh) Ltd, trading as Farmlay Eggs, is a long established egg producer and packing company based in Armagh. We were established in 1913. Farmlay Eggs are currently recruiting a QA Technician, Maternity Cover 1 year –38.3 hours per week.
Reporting to: QA Manager
Purpose: To provide support to the Quality Assurance Manager on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that site standards relating to food hygiene and COPs are met throughout all departments on the production floor.
Hours:
Monday – Friday
07:30 – 16:00 4 days
08:45 – 17:30 1 day
1 Late start day per week – flexible

Job Description
- Daily quality checks on raw materials, recording issues and reporting to management
- Non-conformance reporting and implementing corrective actions
- Intake checks on raw materials and packaging and trending any non-conformances found.
- Daily Hygiene audit which covers the entire site
- Completing hygiene inspections on evening cleaning standards
- Maintain Pest Control Standards
- Support production and hygiene teams when required
- Drive the concept of “audit ready at all times” throughout the site

| Relevant Knowledge and Experience | – Previous experience in quality role – Experience in Health & Safety -Knowledge of UK retailer audits – BRCGS Standards | |
| Skills and Competencies | – English communication skills, both oral and written – Proficient use of IT | |
| Other | – Available to work flexible hours as required |
