This job is the starting point for anyone that wants a career in dairy farming. We will start you off working in the dairy but over the course of 2-3 years you will be trained in all aspects of dairy management, animal welfare, grass land management, business planning and organisation. We all have to start somewhere and this business offers you an opportunity to gain valuable practical experience that could lead to you progressing to Dairy Manager, running your own farm business or managing somebody else’s. We offer the chance to develop skills for life.
You will be joining a team of 5 running a tight spring block calving herd of 1050 NZ crossbred cows based around an established grazing system with 2 rotary parlours, a 44 point Waikato rotary and 60 point Delaval rotary parlour. You will be working directly with the herd and involved in all aspects of the day to day running of the dairy, including milking, pasture management, feed allocation and fertility.

The position is full time and comes with accommodation situated on the farm if required.
