Considering a career in Food? Book a campus tour

Loughry Campus

Develop a satisfying career – study Food at CAFRE. Book on to a tour and see around our fabulous food facilities at Loughry Campus, Cookstown.

If you are in Year 12 and studying GCSEs at school, book a tour of the facilities on:

Tuesday 8th February 2022, 2pm or Wednesday 9th February 2022, 2pm.

If you are in Year 13 or Year 14 and interested in studying for a Food Degree at CAFRE book a tour on:

Tuesday 8th February 2022, 4pm or Wednesday 9th February 2022, 4pm.

Working in partnership with Ulster University, CAFRE offers BSc Honours Degrees in Food Technology, Food Innovation and Nutrition and Food Business Management. For students looking for an alternative higher education course we also deliver a Foundation Degree in Food Manufacture and Nutrition.

Perhaps you won’t get the offers you wanted through UCAS or will receive grades different from those expected, don’t panic as you can apply to study with us. You can apply through UCAS Extra or Clearing to secure a place on a Food Degree course at CAFRE – Loughry Campus starting this September.

CAFRE – Loughry Campus also delivers BTEC Level 3 National Diploma qualifications in Food Science and Manufacturing Technology and Food Nutrition and Health. Level 3 courses offer an alternative to A-Level study with modules being continually assessed throughout the duration of the two year programme. On completion of a Level 3 course students may have the opportunity to progress on to higher level degree study.
