Production Supervisor

Reports to: Company Manager
Salary: £35,000

Job Summary / Purpose:
Overall responsibility for the day to day running of a small, busy, and growing production facility supplying major UK retailers.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the team of production operatives, ensuring that daily production tasks are carried out according to schedule and all paperwork is completed correctly.
• Generate daily production paperwork and manage customer dispatches.
• Ensure that all operatives are working according to procedures.
• Ensuring that customer orders are filled and despatched on time.
• Management of daily key performances such as efficiency, waste reduction, zero non-conformance.
• Manage the PM and maintenance schedule.
• Manage stock system, placing timely PO’s when required.
• Following plant operational and safety procedures and guidelines.
• Liaising with quality to ensure high standard of quality is being achieved and customer specifications are achieved.

Personnel Specification & Experience:

• 2 years or more experience in a supervisory role.
• 4 years or more experience in a Food manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of practical food hygiene standards.
• Ability to work well on own initiative and equally as an effective member.
• Highly reliable.
• Good planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
