We are proud to be grade AA+ certified against the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety. We follow a strict set of SOPs and HACCP procedures. Our processes are audited by the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety and Organic Farmers and Growers.

Due to continued growth, we now require a Quality Manager to ensure that our products meet the high standard that is required by our customers. Working alongside the Head of Technical this new role will require the successful candidate to work with other department to help grow the business by ensuring that the customers requirements are met.

Main roles and responsibilities

  • To ensure food safety, quality, authenticity and integrity objectives are always met.
  • To support a growing team of Quality Technicians in their role.
  • To prepare and be involved with site audits and visits.
  • Suppliers and raw material approval and their continued assessment.
  • Facilitate NPD with the design and launch of new products.
  • Investigate complaints and put robust corrective actions into place.
  • To assist the Head of Technical in developing and maintaining the Quality Management System for the site in line with various standards.
  • Ensure all internal audits are completed as required.
  • Driving change within the production environment to ensure compliance to specifications.
  • To work cohesively with other departments to manage risk and drive improvements.
  • To be practical and good at troubleshooting to help resolve any potential issues that may arise.
  • To be part of the HACCP / VACCP and TACCP teams

Essential criteria

  • Food Science degree or similar.
  • Working knowledge of BRC / HACCP and food legislation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Flexibility in terms of hours may be required at times.
