Sheep AI and Embryo Transfer Technician

P&T Thompson Sheep Breeding Services are looking for a keen individual to join our sheep breeding team to assist with laparoscopic AI and embryo transfer in sheep.
Applicants should have practical experience and ability in handling sleep.
The role will include setting up equipment and handling area, preparing ewes for AI and embryo transfer surgery and assisting with ram fertility testing/semen collection.
Training will be provided by the team who have over 20 years experience working with tops quality pedigree sheep. Due to the seasonal nature of the job, some days can be longer hours, but overtime will be paid. Salary will be discussed at interview.
There is no accommodation.
The position is full-time/temporary and will start in early June and run to the end of November 2024.
The job has previously been used as a placement for students.
Work is carried out at an AI centre near Ballycastle or on a farm throughout NI/Donegal.
